Lőrinc Pekry built the castle, which can be found next to Ozd at the end of the 17th century. Others say that István Radák made it in the middle of the century. Lőrinc Pekry became the estate owner in 1695, together with his wife Kata Petrőczy, who is considered to be the first poet of Hungarian Baroque literature. In 1709, the building was set on fire by Austrian Imperial troops. It was renovated in 1732, courtesy of Ádám Radák. The Radák family owned the castle until the second half of the 19th century until their extinction. The castle’s last owner was Countess Ilona Teleki, who emigrated in 1944. From 1947 until the regime change, the village used the estate building as a kindergarten, a school, a cultural hall and then the offices of the local cooperative. After its restitution, the daughter of the Countess, Maria Konradsheim donated the estate to a Foundation (Bonus Pastor) that embarked on restoration work.
